Confinement afterthoughts

What are we driven by?
Are we driven by fear, passion, or maybe love?
Are we driven by one single feeling or by a complex mishmash of emotions?

When are we self-satisfied?
Do we become self-satisfied once we reach our pre-established studies and hardly work on noble goals?
Or do we become self-satisfied by being "people-pleasers"?

I strongly believe that it is a MUST to dive into these salient questions, to clarify what has been misconceived, and to reinforce what has been enfeebled.

To me, confinement was more than a virtue! It allowed me to have some "alone moments", to wash away a snowball of dusty thoughts, to restore some energy, and finally to reconnect with my soul.
Throughout life, we find ourselves" labeled" by our stereotyped society in a way we forget who we truly are.
Therefore, a periodic moment of self-assessment will help us find a way out.

Here are the major enlightening lessons, drawn through a back-and-forth of knowing what's what :

Believe in yourself!

I know that this 3-words expression is one of the most "over-consumed" expressions, echoing everywhere, yet many of us couldn't grasp its true connotation. Believing in yourself means that you avoid the naysayers surrounding you who undermine your dreams, doubt your capacities, and ceaselessly criticize you.
To put it briefly: Set a goal, work for it, and believe that you can achieve it!

Escape the ordinary!
Many of us fear adventures, the unknown, and the untapped !! I think that what we should fear the most is the regret of not daring to discover the unknown and to go through wild adventures!
Mark Amend was more than wise when he once said: "Regret is guilt for what we didn't do".

Becoming a "Jack of all trades" doesn't necessarily mean you're a master of none!
We are living in a world where learning resources are accessible more than ever. With the emergence of MOOC platforms, Do-It-Yourself tutorials, E-books, blogs, and Q&A websites, we have a tremendous chance to learn new things every day, and as you all know learning is an endless fruitful journey.
By learning multiple skills, and being aka" a jack of all trades", you'll become more open-minded and multi-talented.
From my perspective, I tend to think that tomorrow's creative innovators are bound to tackle different disciplines and go through different knowledge fields to excel in this rapidly evolving world.

A shining example to bring up would be the megastar "Elon Musk" who has mastered myriad knowledge fields: astrophysics, renewable solar energy, electric and hybrid cars, artificial intelligence, freight transportation, business management, and the list goes on and on. Therefore, he is now at the top of the tech-entrepreneurs ladder!

Cherish what can't be replaced!
During the coronavirus crisis, we have seen how fragile our life is! In less than 6 months, we have lost more than 400000 human beings, which means more than 400k potential sets of ideas, maybe books or inventions that haven't seen the light due to a hazardous virus.
Life, time, family, and health are WEALTH! Cherish it before it's too late.

Every worker deserves to take credit!
We longed to give credit to medical staff during the fight against the widespread pandemic, which is quite legitimate since they are our lifesavers and the flag bearers of hope! Nevertheless, we should point out that every worker from his own position made an irreplaceable contribution: journalists who collect, deliver, and broadcast exclusive information to citizens, municipality cleaners who sterilize public places on a daily basis, engineers and technicians who work on potential tech-inventions, teachers who didn't cease to educate students by making a call to online learning, psychology experts who gave us insights on how to manage our mental health during the long-lasted confinement period, economists who are looking for solutions to help bounce back economy strongly and swiftly amid coronavirus and every volunteer who sacrificed his life to serve the needs of others during such a harsh dramatic crisis.
Hats off to all of them!
